DigSite
A downloadable game for Windows
Step into the golden age of archaeological discovery in the 1920s as an ambitious archaeologist racing to uncover the secrets of ancient Egypt. DigSite invites players to dig, explore, clean, document, and donate long-forgotten relics hidden beneath the vast desert sands.
Buy a dig site license, choose the right spot and dig for valuable artifacts. The intense desert heat and endless sands will take their toll, and your survival depends on balancing your physical needs. Drink water regularly to avoid dehydration, as the oppressive sun and physical labor will quickly drain your energy. Find shaded spots where you can rest in the heat of the day.
When you contribute a rare artifact to the museum, the rewards are significant. You’ll earn substantial recognition and monetary compensation. This funding can be used to expand your excavation operations.
After cleaning and restoring the finds, it’s time to document your discoveries. Use a vintage camera to take photos, capturing every angle of the artifact before it is sent off to a museum. Your images, detailed notes, and thorough cataloging will not only preserve the artifact for future generations but will also help you build a reputation as one of the greatest archaeologists of your time.
As darkness falls, the temperature drops sharply, and the once scorching sands now feel cold and treacherous. With limited visibility, you’ll need to use a lantern to find your way back to your tent and rest for the night. The day-night cycle is critical to your journey, as certain actions and explorations can only be carried out during daylight. The desert at night is treacherous - creatures like snakes and scorpions lurk, waiting to strike.
